I'm a human-centered researcher with roots in health science and formal training in design.

I'm on a mission to think differently in healthcare.  Using human-centered design, I study and alleviate challenges within our health system.  I enjoy collaborating with people in other disciplines and am driven by continuous learning, community, and connection.

I have a  Masters in Design focused on Health  from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelors in Health Science from the University of Florida.  In a past life (a few years ago), I worked clinically in both community medicine and cancer genetics program coordination.  More recently, I completed an internship with Fathom Information Design and am now continuing my practice as an Experience Design Researcher with Pixel Health.

I’m excited to continue co-creating with individuals and communities to push for the ongoing evolution of our health system.
Always on the hunt for an analog photo booth!
I'm a silent book club enthusiast, habitual traveler (see below!), and believe in the curing tonic of a Stevie Nicks song. In my free time, I can almost always be found at a local market or with a camera/camcorder in hand— seeking to capture the joys and in-betweens that make us human.

A few fun facts:
• I've lived on both the North and South Island of New Zealand (and recently took a solo trip back!)
• I volunteer as a scribe in a community health clinic and as a clothes sorter at a local thrift store
• I love practicing photography—  I assist wedding photographers with photo + editing in my spare time
• I'm on a quest to kayak/swim in (where allowed) every Florida Spring
